We are so blessed to have more information medical and social on Maria. Thank you for the prayers, please keep them coming. Maria does have an older brother, however he still resides with both parents, therefore he's not available for adoption. Phooey!
Things I learned about my baby girl: Maria was abandoned 10 days after she was born (Jan. 2008). She has had a few minor medical issues (UTI, adenoids, etc.) very minor in my eyes, but I am biased. LOL! No heart condition or problems with ears have been noted. She has a few other things, but I'm no Dr. I did research them and both show that most children "outgrow" the issues. Nothing debilitating... More dietary concerns than anything, but I have some of those myself.
In May 2010 at just over 2 years old she weighed less than 15 pounds and was 29 1/2 inches tall! This is breaking my heart. Both boys were only 1/2 her weight and Chris was only 9 1/2 inches shorter at birth! Wow! She is teenie tiny bundle of LOVE! I can only imagine how much she will flourish with the proper nutrition, love, and support of a family, not to mention how much God will continue to bless her life with amazing things he has already planned for her.
Today's prayer:
Lord, I pray today from Proverbs 31:8. May your children speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Father, we raise the fatherless, the husbandless, the homeless up to you and your mighty hand. May you heal their hearts, comfort their families, and bring peace in the chaos. Heavenly Father, I pray for your Holy provision on those whom your Church should be sheltering. Break my heart for what breaks yours. In Jesus's name alone, Amen.
----- God moment-------
During the total 5 1/2 hours on the bus yesterday, I visited with our driver. On the way home, the driver started talking about God's special angels. I listened. She shared with me how she believes God has marked his "special" angels in ways that are different from the rest of us so he can see them at the same time. She shared how she believes He made them different because we can't see HIM like they do- they have pure love for him. When everyone got off the bus, I got back on to sign the paperwork. She looked me in the eyes and said, I'm adding your family to my prayer list. You see God in a child, love her like he loves you. God moment, gave me chills, brought tears to my face and a warmth in my heart.
Be blessed.
