Proverbs 22:9

James came home yesterday and told me that he and a friend were talking about adoption. His friend told James that on the news this past week, a sibling group of 3 boys was are up for adoption in Odessa. James told me that he knew 3 children weren't in my plans, but he feels these boys need a home locally and he would jump at the chance to adopt them. He said they are 3, 5, & 7 years old. This once again sparked up our desires for adoption, our faith, our role as Christians.

I looked online at all the local news stations and newspapers, but I cannot find a story like this... Maybe it was a misunderstanding. I don't know, God works in ways we will NEVER understand.

A friend from worked shared a link to Gallery Heart. This list children from each state in the US up for adoption through the foster care system. I found 3 boys: 3, 4, & 5 years old in Arkansas. I put in an inquiry about their availability. James said we need to all be in prayer. God will place children in our home that HE feels need to be here. Amen.

He agreed that he would want me to be a stay at home mom. :)

Today's prayer:
Lord, I pray that your whole congregation will believe and be convicted by Proverbs 22:9 “A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor.” Lord, provide blessings for those who share their food with orphans. In Jesus's Mighty Name, Amen.

  1. OMG, I thought of ya'll when I seen those three beautiful boys on the news. Later on I prayed that they would find a family, and I envisioned them playing in your backyard. Wouldn't it be wonderful if that came true! I'll continue to hope and pray.
