Where has December gone?

It seems like just a week ago it was Thanksgiving and now we are 8 days from Christmas. Wow! where have the days gone. Let's see...
  • Daily life
  • Boys's school
  • Work
  • Lots of travel w/MCS Mustangs Football (TAPPS State Champs)
  • Company Christmas Party
  • Every Wed. Church COM group
  • Reece's Rainbow Christmas Angel Tree fundraising (Which together we raised enough money to donate to Darren's family, met Bogdan's AT goal, and helped Saul meet his AT goal
  • Christmas shopping/decorating
  • COM Christmas Party
  • Life still happening
  • Dr. appts for yellow fever vaccinations & malaria scripts for our Mission trip to Africa the day after Christmas---Whoot!
  • Life still happening.
It sure doesn't seem like much when you put it in a bullet format. Ha! Daily life in itself should be enough said.

Praise God for each morning that he allows me to do this.
Many times I've questioned my decision to quit teaching and stay at home to help James with the business and be more accessible to family and friends. But God daily confirms that He chose this for me and I am exactly where I need to be.

That's right, it's been a whirlwind around here. We leave in 9 days and we just started talking about what we are taking and how we plan to pack it all. We still have a lot to do in the next 9 days. Mostly... Shopping! But it's truly down to the wire and in good Lawrence Family tradition... It's last minute and wild. Lol.
I'm so excited about putting it all behind me to love on some orphans in God's beautiful Africa.

Please keep our family in your prayers as, as a family, we enter the mission field together to love on orphans as James 1:27 commands us to do. Pray for the team, the children, the orphanage directors/nannies/workers. Pray for redefined hearts and transformed lives.

I'll try to update if possible and post pictures.
