- No, the money does not go to us. It goes into an adoption grant for each child, for their prospective parents, to help with some of the costs of adoption. ReplyDeleteI looked into your daddy's eyes this morning and saw you! I know he has a big heart and the room to love you grows daily.
As I made your brothers breakfast, my heart held you in close. I pictured you sitting at the bar with them eating, talking, playing, smiling, and loving on each other.
I pictured you waving goodbye to them as they drove off to school. I then imagined what it would be like with us home together. What fun we'd have filling our days. A little time to continue to bond and learn from each other. Sitting on the floor as I teach and you play and grow.
I wonder how long it will take for me to learn your likes and dislikes. How long will it take you to learn English? Will I ever learn your language?
At times I believe the dogs know you are coming home and they long to lick your faces,cuddle up next to you during your nap, and long to jump and play with you.
What are you like?
Bible study was once again eye-opening this morning. I raised my eyes to Heaven and let God know, that I know, He sent the Holy Spirit to guide me in my study. I've been waiting on soeone to tell me to begin the process to bring you home, but today... I give up. I've been doing it wrong, because I've been trying to do it. I do not give up on you, I give up on waiting on a man to say yes... God is who I am waiting on.
He has me on the ropes, I've asked to have my heart broken for the orphan and He has broken me. He has my heart prepared, He has my entire body, mind, and soul. He is in control. It is impossible for me to move the mountain, but NOTHING is impossible for God, so you see... I wait on God to move mountains to bring you home.
I surrender my all to God. God is preparing the way for you. Not me. God is giving me strength to continually trust in who He is and what He can do.
He is doing this. He loves you more then we will ever love you, so He will place you here.
I cannot wait to show you who you are in Christ. I cannot wait to teach you about Jesus and the mercy, grace, and love He has to offer you. I cannot wait to see what God has called, designed, and gifted you to be.
While I wait for God to bring you home: I pray, I study, I pray, I plan, I prepare documents, I pray, I look at your faces, I pray, I cry, I fear, I long to hold you, I pray, and I save to bring you home.
God allows me life each morning to pray for and love you more. You are not a novelty item for me... You are my child. No person put this idea in my heart... God did.
Will it be hard for the world to understand at times? Yes! but I don't live for the world, I live for our God. God expects us to live radically for Him.
Is it possible to love a face in a picture taken 1/2 way around the world? Yes, because nothing is impossible with God.
I love you. I pray that today, you will run, play, laugh, smile, and feel comforted by your nanny. I pray for you. I pray for your safety, health, and well-being. I pray that you feel God's presence and know that there is a family for you.
God has a perfect plan, a perfect family, a perfect gift of life for you. I cannot wait to rejoice when that family comes forward.
God IS preparing a way for you. I cannot wait for you to be in the security of a family.
