This blog is designed to love orphans boldly! Whether it be to purchase a gift and bless a family in the process of adoption, or to make a general donation to a family in process. It's all about being love out loud.

Sad Day :*(
Today is a sad day in the international orphan community.
Russia's ban on allowing US families to adopt has gone into affect. This means that due to the ban, MANY families who have met their children, bonded with their children, and love their children will NOT be allowed to adopt them. This retaliation is due to a recent law U.S. President Barack Obama signed on December 14, called the Magnitsky Act. This imposes U.S. travel and financial restrictions on human rights abusers in Russia. Therefore, Russia's right to ban was clearly political. It is disheartening to say the least.
This also means that all advocates for children in Russia can no longer rally support to find these children permanent homes. This includes Joanie, Princeton, and London. At this time, I will continue to pray for them, but I can no longer advocate or raise funds for their families to adopt them.
There are a lot of unknowns right now. My heart aches for the families who are in process, scrambling to find out how they will be affected. What will happen to their children.
Until we know for sure what is going on, I ask you to continue to be a Warrior for Christ, a Warrior for the children of Russia.
Prayerful for a resolution. Pray for the families in limbo. Do not grow weary in praying.
