If I were asked today why do I want to adopt? my reply is simple: God said to do it. He put in on our hearts. God's words, His will! Through scripture, I've been shown that this wasn't just a random thought, a trick of advertising, or a persuasion from others. It wasn't something that I thought would be a cool thing to do or would make people like me more or envy anything I have. This is a journey of God's law, Our faith, and Jesus' love. All gifts from my Savior, Jesus Christ, by whose blood I was adopted by God. This is His divine plan. Through my daily mediation, prayers, and bible study, I know that God is not interested in our plans of retirement, or plans we had to travel, our "nest egg" or our health insurance plan. He's not interested in a new car or the fact our children are grown. He is interested in and desires for our hearts to be changed to love like Christ. God greatly desires our family, our marriage, our relationships to grow through faith, perservere through obediance, and glorify Him through sacrifice for our living God, Christ Jesus. This is bigger than us!
