God's timing is not ours.

A timeline of His power in changing our hearts.
God doesn't give us what we ask for right away. He changes us from the inside out and grows us to a point that we are able to set ourselves aside and allow His power in us to work according to His will.

Feb. 2010. Mom begins praying for The Harper family.
Aug. 8, 2010. Dad whispers in mom's year before Church service begins, he was thinking about adopting. Had specific types of children in mind.
Aug. 16, 2010. Mom prints applications for passports.
Aug.-Sept. 2010. Mom starts researching adoption avenues.
Sept. 11, 2010. Dad reiterates: No girls, No special needs, No ethnic difference.
Sept. 2010. Both boys start thinking about adopting and it's implications. Mom encourages them to be in prayer.
Sept. 2010. Mom begins getting in the word daily, taking time to pray throughout the day, attitude is changing.
Oct. 2010. Mom starts praying for the Hogg family
Oct. 12, 2010. Mom revisits Reece's Rainbow, sees a girl named Maria N. commits to being Maria's prayer partner and praying for her family. Mom has fallen in love!
Oct. 14, 2010. Mom gets health information on Maria and is in disbelief! So sad.
Oct. 15, 2010. Mom begins a series of Daily Prayer for Orphans.
Oct. 2010. Mom asks to be Artem T.'s Christmas Warrior and begins selling Poinsettias for his adoption fund.
Nov. 9, 2010. Mom learns that Maria has a family committed to her! Yeah God.
Nov. 10, 2010. RR asks mom to be praying for Lillian and Chelsea
Nov. 14, 2010. Mom and dad see 3 boys listed on Gallery Heart (Bryan, Dillon, & Landon) and inquire on their adoption status.
Nov. 28, 2010. Email says 3 boys have a family.
Nov. 30, 2010.  Poinsettia sales bring in 1,300.00 for Artem T and Maria.
Nov. 30, 2010. Dad and Mom meet with High Sky Children's Ranch.
Dec. 2010. Family attends High Sky's annual Christmas gathering.
Jan. 2011. Mom and Dad meet with American Adoption agency and are accepted to adopt a newborn.
Feb. 6, 2011. Mom is drawn back to RR and sees Darren. There was a strong connection. Mom starts praying for a family for Darren.
Feb. 15, 2011. Mom tells newborn adoption agency not ready yet, removes name from list.
Feb. 25, 2011. Mom starts questing adopting a child with special needs, but not a part of our plan. Briefly shows dad a picture of Darren on her Ipad.
Mar. 21, 2011. Mom and boys talk about Darren at Disney World during Spring Break. Dad asks mom if they are going to adopt, mom said up to him.
March 2011. Mom starts praying for the Davis's & Kirill.
Apr. 10, 2011.  Mom and Cameron watch video on mental institutions in Serbia. Both are upset, appalled. Mom says she can feel her heart changing and is confused. Mom continuing to pray for Darren to get a family. Praying for the right child to be placed in our family.
Apr. 11, 2011. Dad tells mom no to adoption.
May 30, 2011. Mom leaves her job to be at home and work with dad.
June, 2011. Mom's heart continuing to grow. Starts feeling the burdened heart of God for His orphans.
June 11, 2011. Mom wakes up broken hearted for orphans. She realizes she has a mother's heart for Darren and has decided that he is meant to be a part of the family.
June 12, 2011. God gives mom the strength to tell dad how she feels. Dad agrees to pray together every morning.
June 13, 2011. God begins renewing the bond between them and our Heavenly Father and they begin to pray daily together.
June 14, 2011. Dad prays for Darren.
