I do not see it as a fail, but an opportunity to continue to train for the next one. I'd be lying to say that I didn't cry and wasn't a little upset that "my plan" was not completed, but God's greater plan was to get my husband healed.
It's been busy here and although Spartan will have to wait until next time, I feel blessed that we are all healthy
Busy, busy, busy...
Getting just 10 days notice before surgery, we took a quick 4 day vacation to the Inn of the Mountain Gods, where my family from California met us. During this trip, our little guy face planted and broke off part of his front (adult) tooth. That has since been repaired beautifully.
My family came back to our home with us and 3 days later, hubby was in surgery. I wasn't sure how a house full of family would be post op, but oh was I SO VERY GRATEFUL they were here. Not only did they distract us from how tired we really were, they helped us in ways that Thank you will never express.
My family stayed a week with us and my lack of sleep became comical. Even I was confused about being confused. lol.
1 week post surgery and I have finally been able to sleep (almost) through the night. Hubby has had 8 hours of sleep in 6 days. So prayers for his ability to sleep and heal.
We are back to homeschooling over the summer. Trying to get back in the groove and catch up on things. It was so much easier when my family was here helping. ;)
